The music industry gathered at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1st, 2026, for a monumental night at the 68th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. While the evening was filled with high-energy performances, the real story lay in the historic milestones reached by global artists and independent powerhouses.
A Historic Sweep for Bad Bunny
The night belonged to Bad Bunny (Rimas Entertainment), who not only secured three major awards but also shattered a long-standing glass ceiling. By taking home the trophy for Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, he officially became the first artist in Academy history to win the night’s top honor with a Spanish-language album.
In addition to the premier category, the global superstar dominated the genre fields, winning Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance for his hit single “EoO.”

Celebrating Heritage and Mindfulness
The awards also highlighted the importance of cultural preservation and spoken word:
-
Regional Roots: A Tribute to the King of Zydeco (Select O Hits) won Best Regional Roots Music Album. This poignant project brought together a collective of Louisiana musicians to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of the legendary Clifton Chenier.
-
Spoken Word: In a moment of serene reflection, the Dalai Lama was awarded Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording for Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (Glassnote Music LLC).
